David’s passion for photography started at a young age when he would borrow his Dad’s medium format camera to take pictures of the Suffolk countryside. He became fascinated with lighting and composition which naturally led him to study for a BA in photography with a focus both on the traditional methods of the darkroom and the latest techniques in digital capture.
Drawing from great photographers such as Eugenio Recuenco and Tim Walker, David sort to express his creativity through the use of a camera. He continued to be inspired and nurtured by the darkroom while mastering the digital.
Following his graduation with the only First class Honours awarded in his course, he immersed himself in the commercial photography industry and soon started working with a wide range of high street and high end brands such as House of Fraser, Karen Millen, Harvey Nichols, Estee Lauder & Cowshed. After moving up into Studio Manager positions for several key brands, David decided to concentrate back purely on photography once again.
He now works regularly for clients on both lifestyle and fashion shoots, including John Lewis, Ted Baker, La Perla, Matches, Arcadia, Barbour, Harrods, Michael Kors and Mowi.
