Pleatos Cave.

Pleatos Cave is a series of 8 photographs, each of a folded paper shape exploring the idea of Forms and the shadows they cast in the allegory of Plato's Cave.

He asked what if the reality we see around us could be likened to that of the silhouette cast by the pure forms of objects that are behind us as if we were a prisoner sat in a cave chained so as only able to face the wall. Obscured from the reality of the outside world from birth, our naming and appreciation of objects would be limited only to understanding the silhouette outlines as they danced in front of us.

Here we are privy to both the Form in all its intricate pleated beauty and the simplistic shadows they cast.
