Still Life Photography

Angles x Light / Shadow

Product & Still Life photography across campaign, print and social for brands ranging from John Lewis to Cubitts.

As a still life photographer, my work is about capturing an object's essence through the interplay of light, form, shape, and shadow. It's a delicate dance between the technical aspects of photography and the creative process of capturing beauty in everyday objects.

For me, still life photography is an art form that allows me to explore my creativity and push the boundaries of what is possible. The challenge lies in finding ways to bring objects to life, make them visually appealing, and highlight their unique features. In the Cubitts summer campaign, I used a mix of motion and stills with moving light to accentuate the product's uniqueness.

The use of light is one of the most critical aspects of still life photography. It's a powerful tool that can transform an ordinary object into a stunning work of art. By carefully crafting how light forms on an object, like in this lighting campaign for John Lewis, I create a visual narrative that captures the subject's essence.

The satisfaction of seeing the final product come together drives me to continue exploring the world of still life photography. Whether working with foodindependent designers, or everyday objects, I constantly look for ways to add value and create something extraordinary.

As a still life photographer, my work is more than just taking a picture. It's about capturing the subject's essence, bringing it to life, and creating visually stunning and emotionally compelling photography.
